This lonely tree sitting at the top of the hill caught my eye as I drove by. I whipped the truck around and pulled over to get a closer look.

I love taking pictures of landscapes, especially landscapes with trees. I was cruising around the mountains when I saw this beautiful tree perched on top of a gently sloping hill. I noticed the light was just right for a mid day shoot since it was an overcast winter day so I stopped and shot a few frames. I cropped it several different ways when I got home and decided that I liked this version the best. Sometimes inspiration comes to you when you least expect it, even on a cold winter day in the mountains.
